Another artist I enjoy looking at is Kelsey Knobe, instead of using the standard white paper, she creates her portraits with white charcoal on black paper, I have never been confident in straying from the traditional works but it's certainly an avenue I wish to explore in the future of this module.
I really like the simplicity of the work she creates, the soft feeling of the faces she draws, the emotion in each piece and this is simply by using simply highlights.
The textures are just beautiful, the simplicity of the work, but I understand that if you put a highlight in the wrong place it can change to whole image, it's certainly a way to practice highlight placement and contrast.
