What inspires me about Olga Zelinskayas' work is how each piece has it's own story not just a title and a small description (like mine). A lot of her work is based around mythology, nature, spiritual awareness and fairytales, using the elements (fire/wind/earth/water etc) while working in colours she identifies those elements with.
All the elements she adds to her work all work so well together, they create a narrative all on their own, a sense of whimsy and of a lasting beauty we have all grown up with but may not have connected with.
I like how she uses patterns within the bigger images, they give off a painting within a painting vibe making each one more and more interesting with every viewing, I feel if i were to read the tales of each character from a book, Olga's work would be the images I would identify them with.
