*Please check updated plan pt. 2
Due to the covid still being around at the time I limited my search of galleries to the online kind, I felt this suited me well as I could view exhibitions around the world rather than just in my city, this meant I was bound to find something that would inspire my progress.
I still wish to go down the zine/magazine route with my work so I have started looking at websites that publish zines online as well as distributing them in person too.
I came across a list of zines on the creative cloud website and found one called Sato 56 by Robert Sato that sparked my interest, created using riso prints of watercolours and pencil drawings he explores the emotional aesthetic of beautiful images he enjoys as an artist.
I also came across the opening of the Tate art gallery show and tell zine collection featuring pieces from a variety of artists on various subjects including pieces from artists sketchbooks.
This shed light into where is possible to advertise or display pieces like zines and prints.
I plan to use a program like InDesign to create a layout for my body of work and print it from my own computer and printer and see how it looks, I think looking into other zines I will concentrate more on the meaning and emotional side of this work rather than the details in the drawings I create, this I think will allow me to be more vulnerable and more creative with each piece.
